Want to study fashion and glamour photography?
Fashion photography, or what's sometimes called glamour photography, is everywhere these days: in magazines, on TV, billboards and other hard to miss places. If you've been thinking of a career in fashion photography look no further than the Brooks Institute. Taking a fashion photography workshop or a glamour photography program can put you on the road to a successful career.
Long-standing fashion photography program
The best way to approach fashion photography work is through developing a foundation in portrait photography. At the Brooks Institute, we've found that our long-standing portraiture program has provided a solid basis for many successful glamour photography careers throughout the United States and overseas.
The glamour photography skills acquired allow students to transition into advertising and commercial applications. But first you must become a great photographer. You can find the tools you need to develop your fashion photography skills at Brooks Institute.

Get involved in one of our glamour photography weekend workshops
If you are ready to learn glamour photography, Brooks Institute can help. One very simple way is to get involved in one of our weekend workshops - such as the Magic of Portraits where beginning to advanced photographers can become experts.
Brooks offers a variety of portrait courses. During the course students can learn the fundamentals of "mainstream" commercial portraiture. Applying traditional principles, the course works to establish confidence and control in lighting and posing.
What could be more glamorous than working at Rolling Stone magazine from 1967-1970 and photographing Woodstock? Take the No Flash Portraits class with Barry Wolman, and he can teach you how to create a different type of mood and capture the soul of your subject.
In the highly competitive arena of marketing and sales, the skilled advertising photographer is at the forefront of creating imagery that sells. This is an exciting field whose potential is limited only by the individual. The structure of our Advertising major takes students from the conceptualization to the execution of creative, problem solving imagery.

The Advertising path of the Commercial major offers a broader based view than the Advertising major, including required courses in Portraiture. In addition, the major can prepare students for experiences in other areas of photographic studies including color, industrial, scientific, and digital imaging. It also focuses on the advertising industry itself. Areas of the field included down this path are still life, product, food, people, automobiles and more.
The present and your future
This is a demanding school where standards of excellence are the norm. Where students can gain the academic, artistic, business and technical expertise needed for achievement and success. Our comprehensive program ensures that graduates should be qualified in a variety of disciplines. We can provide the tools for our students to pursue the career they want.
At Brooks we have the program just for you. Everything from a Bachelor of Arts Degree that can be completed in just three years, to an eighteen-month Associate of Arts Degree, to a one year Master of Science Degree designed for the working professional. For those students that are not intersted in pursuing a degree, Brooks offers a three year Diploma program.
Brooks Institute students can gain the artistic technical, and business expertise needed to succeed in visual communications. You'll see the benchmark against which all other institutions are judged.
